I've accummulated so many programs (and I don't really
want to delete any) that when I open Start/Programs in
Windows XP Pro some are off the screen to the right and I
can't see them. I either have to make a desktop or other
icon or use explore in the "program files" folder just to
be able to run them.

I just have a 17" monitor and run at 800x600 res. Is
there any soulution other than buying a bigger monitor
and running at a higher res?

The Windows un-expanded menu doesn't help either.

Thanks

Wally

The optimum resolution for a 17" CRT is 1,024 X 768 if supported by the
video system (and most any contemporary video system will.) A 17" LCD uses a
higher resolution; see your product documentation.

Why not make some new folders and put several programs in each....rather
than, as it sounds from what you say, each program is listed in the Start
menu by itself??...... that would take up far less space...

It sounds like you just need to organise your start menu a little better!

You can drag, drop and right-click on them on the start menu. Or you can
change and move them all between the folders and c:\documents and
settings\username\start menu*.
