Program interruption

No matter what program I am in it seems like there is something about to pop
up because if I am typing it stops and the bar at the top goes light and I
can't type. It happens about every minute or so and I just don't know what it
causing it. It seems like something is going to come up (maybe another
program?). I just can't stand it anymore! Help??

You have to find out what is running in the background. Use Task Manager to
see what programs/processes are running. Naturally, you will want to be
sure the computer is virus/malware-free.
