Excel has a difficult to read font. Not the font that I type in but the font
in "Help" It is an open face font. I checked the font in properties and it
is suppose to be "times roman" How do I change this font so that I can read
it?
Thanks, Eileen

Hi Eileen,

Try this:
Go to: VIEW, TOOLBARS, choose FORMATTING...You should see the dropdown menu
where you can change the font.

Suzanna,
Went there and when I click on 'formatting' it puts a check mark in front of
'formatting' and nothing happens.

I don't know of a way to change the font, but you could make it bigger,
which may make it easier to read:

If you have a mouse with a wheel, you should be able to hold the Ctrl
key and roll the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the font size.

If not, you can change the font size in Internet Explorer:
1. In IE, choose View>Text Size
2. Choose one of the sizes, e.g. Medium, or Larger.

You can't change the font type, it's connected to the font from Internet
Explorer
so the only thing you can do is to change the size

Thanks for answering but I want to change the font.

You can change the font, but it will affect other programs, such as
Internet Explorer:

In Excel's Help, click the Options button
Choose Internet Options
On the General tab, click the Fonts button
Choose a font, and click OK

On the General tab, click the Accessibility button.

Under Formatting, check the box for 'Ignore font styles specified on web
pages'
Click OK, click OK.

Okay. Can someone tell me why I am getting this strange font on Excel 97
Help? I don't get it on other help programs.
Thanks, Eileen

I may have misled by leaving out something. The strange font doesn't show
up until I click 'Display'.
Thanks, Eileen

I have "Tahoma [TBMIC3.TMP] & TAHOMA BOLD [TAHOMABd.TTF] & Tahoma Bold
[tahomabd.ttf]. I don't know why there is two Tahoma Bold. They were both
installed on the same day.
