Program Files folder....problem

I just reformatted my machine, I created a new partion on c drive for all my
programs to go in (drive d). I have just finished installing all my programs
onto drive d and have just realised that quite alot of the programs did not
atually install into the Program Files folder, they seem to be all over the
place within drive d (very untidy). Would it make a difference to how the
programs operated if i just drag the files outside of the Program Files
folder back into the folder? Or is there some kind of app that will tidy
everything up for me, or is it a case of uninstalling everything then
reinstall again?

I don't know of a program that can do what you ask. I do know that just
moving the files and folders is a bad idea. You can reinstall the
programs, or you can try to manually change all pointers to installation
directories in the registry.
