I'm trying to create a form where I can easily establish
parent-offspring relationships for birds in a pedigree like
format. The underlying table has columns for (1)the bird,
(2)its mother, (3)its father.

It's easy to establish that first generation but how would
I make the grandparent generation refer to the parent
generation in the same offspring to mother/father way? Help!

I did a similar thing as an exercise for a textbook I'm writing. If you want
a copy of the mdb send me an email and I'll send it to you. It was a family
tree, with queries to extract grandparent, cousin, aunt/uncle, etc.. stuff.
