Profile settings not loading - some file may be corrupt

Hi..

I started my machine today and for some reason while Windows was loading
(after I typed in my windows password together with my profile name) I got a
message stating that my settings/profile could not be loaded for there could
be an error or a corrupt file and that I was going to be logged in with a
temporary profile ( and no changes that I do on that profile would be saved).

I tried rebooting a couple of times, but I got the same...

Is there anything that I can do to recover my settings?

Make a new profile and copy your settings to that one. Sometimes it works.
Sometimes not.
