Hi all,
I was having problems with a corrupt XP profile, so I
created a new profile and deleted the existing one. In the
process, XP informed me that all the old profile's
settings and documents would be saved in a folder named
<old_profile_name>, so I said OK. XP did indeed create a
folder called <old_profile_name>, but all it contained was
the Windows Briefcase and two files that were on the
desktop, but NONE of the files in the "My Documents"
folder. This means ALL THE FILES IN MY DOCUMENTS WERE
DELETED! (yes, I'm a little upset). Does anyone have any
idea why this happened or, more importantly, how I can get
the files back? I've downloaded and installed several
undelete tools, but they can't seem to find anything.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff Zalkind
