Hello

Everytime I start the PC , after the windows (XP) loads and i can see the
desktop with all icons etc, i get a message 'Product not installed'.

Everything seems to be OK though, no other problems encountered.

But in device manager , i see a problem with 'PnP Bios extension' , as in
properties it says 'Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this
hardware. (Code 37)'

Are the above related? and do I ought to take a remedial action somehow?

Thanks

Probably not.

I'm honestly not sure - have you got the latest drivers for your chipset/etc
from the hardware manufacturer? Did this just start happening? You might
check with the manufacturer for support on this; you may need to change
something in your BIOS.

Code 37
[[Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)

Recommended resolution
The driver returned failure from its DriverEntry routine. Uninstall the
driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the
driver.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the
Troubleshooting Wizard. ]]
