I have a Dell Laptop and I am trying to setup a docking station using the
Reinstall XP cd that came with my computer. I am looking right at the
Product key on the bottom of the laptop, but it is telling me that it is not
correct. Can I not do this setup, and if no then will Microsoft supply me
with a disc so that I can install XP on my desktop computer?

Dell is your OS support - it is an OEM copy.
You will need to contact Dell for support with your OS.

Are you using the CD that came with that laptop?
If not, that is the source of the problem.

If you are using the original CD with the affixed Product Key, contact Dell
for support.

Since you are using the affixed Product Key, it is OEM and Microsoft will
not replace the OEM CD, that is up to Dell.
