I bought FrontPage 2002 in late August 2003
- installled it, and everything worked fine
-I have a new computer and tried to install the software
and it will NOT take my "Product Key"

Now what?

It's looking for the Key on your CD jewel case (or CD holder)

First, you need to be very careful with the product keys as a lot of people
make mistakes with them. If the key was taken when you first bought it, it
will work on another install. Check to make sure that you have the zero's
correctly identified as a lot of people confuse them with the letter O, or
even an eight sometimes. Same goes for 5's and the letter S, 2's and the
letter Z.

If it is accepting it then rejecting it when you try to activate then you'll
have to call product support as you'll need to de-install it from the old
machine and they'll need to give you a new activation for the new machine.
You'll only be able to have it on one desktop and one laptop.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Stefan and Mark. I know very well they want the
number from the yellow sticker marked "Prodruct Key" -
that's very visiable on my jewel case and they specifally
tell you where to look. On the jewel case it says " don't
lose this number! you must use it every time you install
this software. So be sure to store this case in a safe
place." I did and I know the difference betwen a Product
Key number and a PID#. I have tried at least 2 dozen
tiems to install it. I have checked the numbers VERY
carefully. I had two other adults check the numbers with
me before I made this cry for help.

My old system has crashed and cannot be restored and I
only want it on one desktop, not a variety. I've never
shared my CD with anyone and am very frustrated.

Then you should call MS support (there is usually no charge for installation issues)
