Where can I find the Product ID# for my copy of Office 2000. I have it
installed in my computer but I'm upgrading and will have to reinstall it into
my new computer. It says it is on the back of the jewel case but the dog
chewed that up. I think I should be able to find it some where in my
computer before uninstalling it. I did find a number when the programs open
but it's only 20 digits and registration requires a 25 digit number.

On the CD case (or on a piece of paper if you were wise enough to write
it down separately). Shame on the "dog" (didn't ever seen on chew on a
CD case, but learn something every day, I guess).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hmmmm. Does this work for Word 2000? I seem to recall it doesn't work with
that particular Word version? There is also Belarc Advisor linked from my
web site, but that too doesn't work for Word 2000. It does, however, reveal
an enormous amount of information about installed software.

Hi Graham,

Looking at the website where it mentions "Office 97, and Office XP", but not
2000, I guess that it doesn't.
