How do I get the product ID number from my computer? It
will not boot up completely for me.

Tami;
Reboot to Safe Mode.
Right click My Computer
Click Properties.
The Product ID is the 20 character group under "Registered to".

While in Safe Mode, try System Restore to a Date/Time before issue
started:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

However if you post back in a new thread with details of your actual
problem, someone may be able to help with your actual issue.

Thank you for your reply. Now when I boot up the
computer, it says something about having a problem
loading windows, and asks how I want to start the
computer, when I select any of the choices, it goes to
the windows XP screen with the scroll bar, then the
screen goes blank. I can't do anything like you said
below. I am looking for the product ID number so I can
get the free support from Microsoft.

Don't I need the product ID to get the support?

Tami;
You can call:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx? pr=cntactms&style=home
If you have retail Windows XP, you most likely have two free support
incidents assuming you have not used any.
If Windows XP is OEM, you do not have free support incidents since the
seller agreed to provide appropriate support.

For your particular issue, a Repair Installation is usually the next
step since Safe Mode and Last Known Good Configuration are not
options:

Tami;
For phone?
I don't think so.
Have all your documentation available including Product Key.
