I try to download the Critical Security and it gets just
so far and then tells me my Product Code is not
authentic. Ihave taken it directly off of the Lap Top I
bought. All the rest of the security down loads work OK I
will list my 5 code groups here so they can be checked:

XKQXC-4DXD3-FP7RF-TVF3R-8XPF6
I don't know any other was to get this corrected to
Microsoft. Thanks for your help. OH, at present I cannot
send or receive E mail in my program, which is Eudora, I
get a message that "An Unhandled Exception Has Occured in
Eudora". Then it times down and shuts Eudora off. I can
pick up my messages from the ATT home page though. Again
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Warren;
NEVER post your Product Key in a public newsgroup.
Contact the manufacturer of the computer.

If the computer is second hand:
Does it fit this:

If it does, you most likely have a pirated Windows XP Pro.
If it is pirated, you need to contact the seller and/or Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/reporting/default.asp
One of the features of Service Pack 1 is to detect pirated copies of
windows XP.
Also you have 3 options to become legal:
1. Go back to the previous OS:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303661
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314052
This may or may not work depending on the installation options used.
2. Perform a Clean Install with the OS of your choice destroying ALL
data.
3. Purchase Windows XP Pro (Home will not work) and perform a Repair
Installation using the new valid key and CD:
