I cant find the answer any where for this, I have 3 HDD's in my PC, using a
drive Switch, one for my kids games, one for the wife and of course me, is it
ok to use the same Win XP and Activation Key for each Installation on each
drive , even though its all in the same Computer????????

Just create one instance of XP and then Image it to the other 2 drives.
Doing that is outside the scope of the EULA, but what you are doing
is essentially having a "Selectable" copy of XP running. Using Imaging
you can maintain a "Core" install that can be replicated to each drive.
I won't ask "Why" you want to do it, but installing 3 times is way too
much work for what you're trying to accomplish. It's going to be a
pain to keep all 3 updated & running.

You only need to install once and create three accounts for you, Wife
and kid. They can all password protect them.

You don't need three drives either unless you need all that HD space for
your use.

I concur one one drive for husband and wife. I'd still have a drive for the
kid. A kid is the most efficient way to mess up a computer.

I've talked to Microsoft about this before. The license can only run on one
computer but isn't limited by the drive on which it runs. You can have only
1 instance of Windows running at a time on the computer. So, in your case,
you can have Windows installed on 3 drives as long as only ONE of them is
ever running at a time. We had test platforms in which we would use
removable drives and were allowed to install the same license of Windows on
each as long as the other drives weren't inuse and running Windows elsewhere
or as long as only one instance of that license for Windows were running on
the host (i.e., you cannot use the same license across multiple virtual
machines using, say, Virtual PC or VMware that where the guest or any of the
hosted machines were running the same license).

Not according to the WinXP EULA. It clearly states that you can
install and run a single copy on one computer. Of course, some people
parse the sentence, President Clinton style, and point out there will
only be one copy running any any one time.

Actually I've been doing exactly the same thing for years and MS is
aware of it as I told them when I've called for phone activation. I told
them what I'm doing and they said ok and gave me the activation number.
It is legal according to MS
