I found this in my running processes today too, although the creation
date was March 26, 2004. This is the first time it has been running on
my system.

A few days ago I found some infected files which were cleaned
successfully, so I suspect this may be another remnant of that
infection? Then again maybe it is a legitimate Microsoft file.
Luckily, it shows up in the services list and you can disable it from
running.

I scanned the file with McAfee and F-Prot, they found nothing
suspicious.

So, does anyone know what this file is, and if it's legitimate?

No idea...nothing on Google or Microsoft or Symantec either.
I searched my system and it's not on mine.
