problems with trying to Defrag

When I go into disk defragmenter and activate it i get a msg saying i need to
reinstall disk defragmenter.. have been unable to get information on how.
Please help.
 
Install xp cd,exit the info page,then go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:
Sfc /Scannow When its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then type:
EXIT Restart computer,remove xp cd.

I would remove the existing copy of diskeeper and then reinstall it
from the CD.
