Problems with Outlook since installing network

I had no problems until I recently installed a Linksys
router. Now I am having a number of issues with Windows
98. I can send email but not retrieve it. I receive an
error message that says Problem logging on to my mail
server - bad user name or password (although it displays
both and they are correct). The error message number is
0x800ccc92. Outlook had been working correctly until I
disabled the screen that prompted me to log on to the
network everytime I booted up. When I logged on I could
use Outlook but not my printer and vice versa.

Also, everytime I open Explorer I am sent to the Internet
Connection Wizard. When I close Explorer and then reopen
it then once again I am sent through the Wizard for a set
up.

I am not running any firewall software other than that
installed with the Router and when I go directly through
the cable the problems do not go away.
 
Try posting this to a networking group for Windows 98 as the major problems
you are reporting probably cause the error in Outlook.
