Hi
I have been playing with my PC (Dell 8200) which is running XPHE SP2, I moved 2
users "My Documents" folder to another partition using cut and paste so that I
had at least 15% disk space on my C drive to run defrag. I have now put back the
files to their correct location and the desktop links to them work.
However when I open My Computer, these 2 users Document folders aren't seen in
the list "Files Stored on this computer" Not a major problem but would like to
know a way of putting back the proper settings so that these folders are visible
again in My Computer.
Is there a way of recreating the proper empty/default folders and then letting
me copy the files from the old folders into the new??

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Steve

Start -> Run -> Regedit

Navigate to:

"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DocFolderPaths"

In the right-hand pane, you should see one entry per user -- with the value name being the username
and the data the path to that user's My Documents folder. You can create/edit values as necessary.

Thanks for the info Keith
It worked a treat!!

Next time don't use cut and paste. One option is use tweakui to move
these special folders.
