problems with microsoft office -- power point! Please help.

When I had office on my xp machine, I could receive and create power point
presentation. On my new machine, with Vista, I can no longer create or
receive them!!!!

How can I do this?? It's pretty frustrating.

Does your new PC have Office installed? It isn't part of Vista.

Well... a couple of problems here.

PowerPoint is a program. It runs under XP or under Vista, but it is *A
DIFFERENT PROGRAM*, not part of the operating system; if you don't have
PowerPoint installed you can't run it.

Also, you're asking about PowerPoint in a newsgroup which supports Microsoft
Access, a different program. Please check the (rather confusing I admit)
website to see where you're posting.
