Hello,

the medai player does not anymore play files correctly
after an update that the medai player requested yesterday:
(1) my mono 44khz 64kbit mp3 files are played at double speed and one octave too high
(2) my wav files dont play anymore at all (but without
error). when i then move the position the error 80040203
occurs ("The enumerator has become invalid")
all these files played fine before this update. i tried
to reinstall media player 9 from microsoft.com. stll the
same error. and the files still play fine in other
players.

Thank you very much for your try to help. The bad thing is that there is only one restore point in my systeme: yesterday when i tried to reinstall medie player 9 to solve the problem. it does not show any restore point right before the media player update. the update was requested and downloaded by media player itself - not by Windows Update. i started the media player and it said that there are updates available and i installed them. But it obviously did not create a system restore point. :-(

Any other ideas ? Can i track the use of audio codecs myself somehow ? why does mplayer2.exe play everything right fine but wmplayer.exe does not ?

Please help ! :-(
