I have successfully visited Microsoft support website and
downloaded the Internet Explorer Update indicated as a fix
for my problem (Outlook not responding). However, when the
download was completed, my laptop did not automatically
trigger the installation process as indicated. Instead,
the system was just locked and was not doing anything.
Also, per Microsoft's recommendations, I clicked the scan
for updates in order to create a list of all Windows Xp
Updates that my computer needs. As a result of the scan, a
list of updates was provided. And they were all
downloaded successfully but I was not prompted to install
them either.
1. How can I get these updates installed?
2. Do you know how I can manually execute the installation
process?
3. Do you know where(location on the hard-drive) those
updates are usually downloaded?
I thank you for your assistance and look forward to
receiving your reply.
Sincerely,
