Problems with DOS Emulator in Windows XP

I have an age old DOS application (I know, rewrite it, but hey it works) that
we use for business.

Anyway, we set the PIF file to run in Full screen mode, and on some PC's, it
works fine. On other PC's, we get garbled characters on the screen
(particularly where checkboxes and radio buttons should be). We also have a
strange case where the line that is supposed to be the top lines, shows up
about 10 lines down. This does not happen on all PC's. There has to be a
configuration problem with the PC's that don't work, but I can't figure out
what it is.

We've compared Autoexec.NT and Config.NT, but there is no difference. Any
ideas where to look for this?
Thanks

I had suspected that, but I am not sure which font I should have it set at.
Currently it is set to Auto. Any suggestions?

I would take a look on one of the pc,s that it is working on and notice the
font size and font of the windows and check on the ones not working for
differences... If same, maybe the resolution of the display is not the same.
If same fonts on all machines, try getting smaller fonts (ie 10pts - 9 pts,
etc) to see if the displays get better.
