problems with centering text

If I center text in 1. the text in 2. centers too, but I only need to center
text number 1. I need quick help, please. I don't have much time to finish
this document.

You have formatting marks turned off, so it's impossible to tell if 1 and 2
are separate paragraphs (Enter) or if they are separated by a line break
(Shift+Enter).

Press Ctrl+Shift+* to toggle formatting marks on. If they're separated by a
line break mark (looks like an arrow pointing left), then that's the
problem.

If they're separated by a paragraph mark (looks sort of like IP backwards),
then the style that's being used is automatically being updated when you
apply centering, and you'll either need to use different styles for the two
paragraphs, or you'll have to turn off automatic updating by modifying the
style.

More detailed instruction would depend on which version of Word you are
using.
