problems with accessing task manager and regedit

I was wondering if anyone can help me out here. I have been
having a problem with accessing my task manager and my
REGEDIT on Windows XP Pro. It is sayint that Registry
Editor Has Been Disabled By Your Administrator, Task
Manager says the same thing. I am the only user on my pc
and i am the administrator. I did nothing to cause this to
happen.. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to
re-enable Task Manager and Registry Editor. I would very
