Good afternoon and Happy New Year

I recently upgraded my computer to Vista and started using Windows Mail and
I am having some problems were received emails show up blank and then have
an all text attachment.
Could someone help me out?

In Outlook Express, that could happen if you have not emptied your Temporary
Internet Files for quite some time. Might try that and see if it helps.

That's interesting, I just installed Vista on Saturday w/ a fresh install
and am now seeing the problem. I did empy my temp internet files but no
change

Thanks,
Jonathan

Is this ALL mail, or just some of them?
Are you set to read all messages in plain text? WM>tools>options>read tab.
Do you have a third party program scanning incoming mail, AV application
etc, if so disable that part of it.

As Steve indicates, this can be caused by an antivirus program set to scan
incoming email, particularly AVG's setup. If you are running an AV program,
try disabling it completely in MSCONFIG, reboot, and then test the mail and
see if the problem persists. If not, then uninstall your AV, reboot, and
this time do a "Custom Install" of it and do not allow any email scanning.
Norton, McAffee and others also have problems with email scanning.
