I have downloaded all possible updates to IE 6 Sp1 and so
on, but when I go to the Bank of America site or Hotmail
etc... the letters are expanded and the pics can't be
seen. If I right click and select Encoding - Western
European (Windows) the html displays great, but it is
normally on Western European (ISO). I have no clue how to
fix this issue. I already re-installed IE6. Downloaded
Visual Basic, MS Jscript 5.6 etc....
ANY ASSISTANCE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! GOD BLESS

This is the only article that I know that talks about your
problem.

A Web page may display an image as a red X, or a
placeholder may appear in place of the image.
Covers also this problem: Web page that is encoded for the
Western European (ISO) code page might not display any
images:

Some have reported that they solved the problem by
repairing I.E.
Add/Remove Programs/ms/ie, repair.
