Problems using search engines

I having problems using search engines (Yahoo, google,
web crawler..) When I type in a seacrh and execute it,
the search does not work properly. I have tried removing
my cookies, history and tempory internet files as
suggested by a friend, but that has not helped.

Have you considered the possibility that you have been hijacked? Run HiJack
This! and also try AdAware.
