problems restoring pst file

I am trying to restore an old pst file into Outlook. When
I tried importing, I got an error message saying the
properties were not setup to do this.

I ran scanpst on the file and tried again. But it said
there were 152 messages when it repaired itself, but when
it imports, there are less than 20.

Is there anyway to recover the rest of the messages?

The file must not be read-only. Also, don't import. Just File>Open.
 
Thanks, for the input Brian, but I'm still having the same
problem. I've double checked that the file is not read-
only. And regardless of whether I import of open, I have
problems.

Any further suggestions?
