Hi,i'm having trouble removing a User account.I hooked my daughters up with their own computers and now i would like to delete their accounts from my computer. It let me delete the smaller one but when i try to delete the larger account i get the message "program not responding".I have tried serval different times but the same message always comes up.I close all other programs when i'm doing this.I'm just hoping someone can help me or has other ideas i could try.I have the home edition of XP.I'm new to the computer so i'm learning as i go along
Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Greetings:

The reazon the program does not respond may be that the profile is very
large, to make it smaller, transfer personal files from that account to a
new folder you create in C:\ or just delete them.
If you prefer to transfer make sure you cut and paste not copy or send to
because you'll only increase used up disk space.
You may also want to burn them on a CD and transfer them to your duaghter's
computer, then delete those in your computer.

I believe once you lighten that profile you'll have no trouble deleting it
because unresponding programs are usually due to full memory usage, so
lighten it as much as posible but only remove personal files.

If you still can't delete that account, consider just disableing it..
In the desktop\My Computer-right click\Manage\users and local
groups\users\her-user_account\general tab\check disabled account.

Hope this helps.
