Problems Ping-ing

I have a new computer which I can't seem to join onto my existing network.
All the other 3 pc's work fine with the internet connection through the one
main computer and the others connected to it via a network hub.
The new computer can't see any of the others and the others can't see it.
However, the new computer can connect to the internet through the main
computer.
When I ping the other computers from the new one, they all respond. But the
new one does not respond when ping'd from any of the existing ones.
I've tried connecting the new pc on other points of the network with no
different results.
My computer supplier tells me that they have checked my port and it's ok.

If it's a new computer, it's probably running SP2. Check the fiewall
settings. You may need to enable ICMP echo and an exception for File and
Printer Sharing.

Thanks for your reply.
I've checked the ICMP echo is enabled and also the exception for File &
Printer sharing. It still doesn't work. I'm starting to doubt the network
port.
