Problems of many types

1. Int Exp defaults to an unknown address - % signs and numbers. No matter how many times it is blocked, it comes back. Help

2. Windows Update - the "scan for updates" does not appear. The left pane is mainly greyed out. Help

3. System Restore does not come up when I click on it. Hel

4. I can go to Microsoft websites, but when attempting to download ANY updates or protection stuff, it will not load. Hel

5. The "winsta.dll" in the dynamic link library is broken? Get pop-ups on this

6. Entry point not found "unregmp2.exe

This is really messy...but gosh am I learning alot

Have Windows XP 2002, home edition, connected by cable. I use Lavasoft-Ad aware 6.0, Also Trend Micro - but it became disabled on April 11th - when all this started.
And here is the ugly part - my husband visited a porn site on that date. HA

AS you have surmised, all of your problems stem from your husband's visit to
a porn site. While he was busy downloading dirty pictures, the site was
busy uploading dirty trojans and virii.

There are some MVPs who will soon post detailed instructions for how to
clean up the mess that has resulted from your problem.

Steps you can take to prevent similar problems from occuring in the future:

First: Shoot your husband.
Second: Install a good fire wall (Zone Alarm)
Third: Update your virus definitions regularly (at least three
times per week -- daily is best)
