I am running XP Pro with Office XP on a network that includes a win2k
server.

Until recently I was using {old domain} to log onto our server. They have a
new server with a new domain {new domain} that I need to start using. I
have admin rights to the local box and the machine has access to the new
server, so how do I migrate all of my current local profile information -
including my Outlook .pst files, IE shortcuts, Outlook Express settings, etc
to the new profile?

I need to get everything from {old profile}\username

to {new profile}\username

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to your post, you wonder how to move profile information to
another server.

If I have misunderstood your concern please don't hesitate to let me know.

To clarify, I am attempting to migrate all of my profile settings and data
from one directory to another on the same local box: the files and settings
stored on the server have already been taken care of.

From

C:\Documents and Settings\wowbagger.OLDDOMAIN

to

C:\Documents and Settings\wowbagger.NEWDOMAIN

Do the steps presented still apply or are there different steps that should
be followed?

Dear Customer,

Thank you for the clarification.

Please rest assured that the steps provided also apply in local migration
at the same computer.

You may copy the complete contents of C:\Documents and
Settings\wowbagger.OLDDOMAIN folder to C:\Documents and
Settings\wowbagger.NEWDOMAIN\ folder. Sample steps can be referred to from
the "Restored User Profile" part of the following article:

Error Message: Windows Cannot Load Your Profile Because It May Be Corrupted
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;318011

After that, please then finish data transfers of Outlook PST, OE data and
IE Favorites. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Seaver
