I'm trying to load an OEM (Full) version of XP Home Edition on my cousin's PC. It's a Pentium II with a 500Mhz processor and 256Mb of RAM. It seems to format the 15Gb disk ok but as it copies the files every now and again it says that it cannot copy a file (and it's a different one each time). When I skip the file and continue sometimes the rest of it loads but it cannot complete the setup
I've changed the cd-rom drives and the hard disk, all to no avail

Greetings --

Problems copying files or corrupted files during installation are
most often caused by defective or sub-standard hardware; in order of
likelihood, either RAM, the hard drive, or the motherboard. On much
less frequent occasions, a bad CD or defective CD drive can also cause
this.
