Problems importing OE files into OL 2003

Hi there,

Can someone help me with an import problem?

I have saved my various .dbx files from OE onto my new HDD, hoping to
simply point my fresh OL 2003 towards these and import all folders and
mails.

When I do this, I get the error that the files are open and can't be
imported.

The files are not marked as read only, and nothing is running that
could be using them.

My OE setup was I had various mail folders - inbox, dave, etc and
ideally I'd love to be able to just tell OL where these are and bring
them al right in.

One other thing I tried was to save the individual .eml files and then
drag these over into the appropriate folder, but this destroyed the
makeup of the mails as well as not being able to show who they were
from.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can do this, as I'm certain I'd
followed the import wizard steps to the letter.

you need to set the folders up in OE then export from OE to OL. See
