problems, i have problems

hi, have a problem

just starting today, my computer has been given me trouble. when i start it up and log in, everything is fine. until about 10 - 15 minutes after that. all of a sudden my system will slow to a crawl and when i open up task manager, my cpu is spiked at 100%, and a process called winlogon.exe is the reason. it's using 99%. i've tried everything from using restore to virus scanning, but nothing works. i would greatly appreciate some help with this one. thank
