problems entering in numbers

When i try to enter in 12 into a cell i actually get 0.12
i have tried to adjust using the format cells option but to no avail. Is
there a fix or am i missing or overlooking something!

You need to use Tools | Options; open the Edit tab; uncheck the Fixed
Decimals box
