Problems Enabling IMAPI CD Burning

I am trying to implement IMAPI CD Burning in my image and have been
unsuccessful. I have added the IMAPI-CD Burning component, CDFS and a
standard CD-Rom component. I am using a Lite-On DVD-+RW/CD-RW drive.

Whenever I insert a blank CD into the drive and try to access it I get an
error saying "Drive is not accessible. Incorrect Function"

I notice that there are CD-Rom components with specific IMAPI settings but
do not know if these will help my situation.

Has anyone been able to get CD burning working in Embedded? If so any help
would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Jason Canada

Slobodan,

Our application does work in XP Pro. I will look into the registry settings
you metnion about the stash files. I am also concerned because I am using the
generic CD-Rom device. Should I create a custom component for the Lite-On
drive?

Thanks,
-Jason

the IMAPI setting (i.e. IMAPI settings 0,1)

Hi Jason,

Basicaly all CD-Rom Drive components are same and irrelevant, since they are all auto generated same cdrom.inf file.
So pick the one and add it to your image. PnP during the FBA will find and use correct settings.

For complete understanding on how drivers are installed please read complete thread.

Do you have component "IMAPI - CD Burning" in your image?

Hi Jason,

Can you tell us what call failed and what was HRESULT value?
From your first post it is unclear where did you see that error.

Slobodan
