I had several folders that I could not delete, and I
finally was able to delete them using this method:

(1) right click on the folder then click on PROPERTIES
(2) click on the SHARING tab
(3) check the box to "make this folder private";click OK
(4) it will ask you to create a password; click on NO
(5) delete the folder, as you normally do.

This method worked for me; I hope it works for you.
