Problems connecting to network

I've just loaded a new wireless card (Symbol Spectrum24) onto a Dell Inspiron
3500, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. When I put the card into
another laptop, it works fine, so I know that's not the problem. When I
click on local area connection, it shows that the computer is sending
packets, but not receiving them. I also tried pinging another computer, and
failed. I uninstalled and reinstalled tcp/ip, and that didn't work either.
What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I think you should be reinstalling your driver instead of TCP/IP, and setting
any security configuration of the card.
