Sounds like the clone wasn't completely successful. Either try again, or
try another cloner.

I have a computer with Windows XP SP2 and a single physical hard drive split
into two partitions. I recently bought a new, bigger hard drive and used
Seagate's DiskWizard program to move my C: drive from the old HDD to the new
one. Now, with the new HDD as the C: drive, Windows starts up fine, but I
have noticed two problems. First, many of the icons are wrong. They are
the generic icons instead of the icons that go with their particular
program. For shortcuts, the "Change icon..." button is often grayed out.
Second, MS Outlook 2003, which is set up to access my POP3 e-mail account,
doesn't pull the messages off the server. Well, it deletes the messages
from the server, but they never show up in my inbox.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Hi.
I recently bought a new WD hard drive and transferred my system with the WD
Data Lifeguard tool and ran into the EXACT same two problems you described;
Outlook pulling emails off the server but not displaying them and unable to
change generic icons on some of my file types. Did you ever find a solution?
I was able to fix the Outlook problem but I’m still struggling with the
icons.
