Problems Adding CNAME Record

Greetings. I am looking for a little help...I am trying to set up "auto discovery" for ISA server. ISA server is setup correctly, and everything works fine via DHCP, but I am encounter an issues setting up the DNS portion of it. In following the instructions, I am supposed to created a "WPAD" CNAME entry in DNS but I keep getting "A new record cannot be created. There was a server failure." errors. I can create other CNAME records, just not one called WPAD. Nothing interesting in the event log

Any and all help is greatly appreciated

Are you using a FQDN for the target host?

Yes, I am using a FQDN..."ntserver3.epictech.local" (where "ntserver3" is the server's name and "epictech.local" is our AD domain)..

I have also tried browsing to the machine to no avail

I can create any other CNAME record I want pointing to the same machine, it just errors on "WPAD". I have looked for error messages or something similar to point me in the right direction but I am coming up blank
