My SO is windows xp .When you click anywhere in the folder pane of Windows
Explorer, the folder that is level with where the mouse was clicked is
automatically selected.

I think the behavior is by design. Is there a setting to change in Windows
XP?

Any suggestion

Best regards

Hi Kersob,

I don't think there is a way to change that behavior.
