Hi
|
| Wonder if any of you guys can help me out there.
| I've been trying to install Quicktime Movie Player on my machine,
| running XP, and I get an error message:
|
| "The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\Quicktime.qts is not a
| valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation
| diskette.",
|
| Any idea how I can get around this one, is it cos there's a conflict
| somewhere?
|
| I'd love to be able to view .mov files again, can anyone help?
|
| Thanks in advance
|
| Jason

"The -2093 error may indicate the file 'QuickTime.qts' is
missing, moved, or unusable. The QuickTime.qts file is
usually located in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. To
resolve this symptom, completely remove and reinstall
QuickTime.

1. Download the stand-alone version of the QuickTime
installer.
2. Restart Windows in Safe mode.
3. Run Scandisk.
4. Uninstall QuickTime. Make certain to click Uninstall
Everything.
5. Delete the contents of the Temp folder, C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
and C:\Documents and Settings\YOU\Local Settings\Temp(if
it exists).
6. Install QuickTime using the stand-alone version of the
QuickTime installer.
7. Restart Windows.
