I am trying to upgrade with a SATA drive on my ASUS P4PE mb system and
have extracted the Promise drivers onto a floppy, and attempted to load
them using F6 command. When I do that, I receive a message that says

The file textsetup.oem could not be found. Press any key to continue.

I have extracted all of the files from the driver and there is no file
that is called textsetup.oem. What is one to do???????

(I also receive a message during boot that says Boot from Atapi CD-ROM:
No emulation and I am not sure what that is about....)

I dont think it calls for the same drivers,at intel RAID drivers, they are
seperate
downloads (F6 & XP),try ASUS home page,or promise,for F6 driver options.
Being that you formatted the floppy in MS-DOS and copied them correctly.

Thanks. I did find an explanation of how to handle the situation by
renaming an ASUS file. Worked OK. I just had to install the files with
F6 at startup.

Thanks
