Problem with trojans.

I've been having a huge problem with spyware and trojan
viruses. I think I've cleared most of them off my system
but I'm having a continuing problem with IE 6. One of the
spyware programs re-programmed my home page and added a
'search' box beside the address bar. The text in this new
box says 'enter the search term'. It is impossible to hide
the box, as it re-appears everytime IE is launched. I
tried re-installing IE which didn't help.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I've switched
to Netscape in the time being, because I'm still getting
alot of suspicious pop-ups in IE. Any help would be much
appreicated.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
