Problem with Taskbar in Winxp and Application windows

i have recently installed office xp. The Language toolbar
got installed along with it.

But now, whenever i open any window (it can be internet
explorer, or word document window or any application
window), upon minimizing the window icon is not indicated
in the task bar.

Moreover if i try to remove the language toolbar from the
task bar, the task bar itself is removed.

Pls. advice what has gone wrong after installation of the
office XP.

Sorry still the same problem. I managed to hide the
language toolbar. But now the taskbar doesn't displays at
all.

If i add any toolbar to the taskbar then only the task
bar is displayed otherwise it is not displayed. If i
don't lock the taskbar and if i point the mouse below the
screen it shows that i can expand the task bar, but upon
trying it nothing happens.

Also the problem withe minimizing the application window
remains the same.Upon minimzing the window icon
disappears. It seems that it is there but since the
taskbar is not visible thats why i cannot see the windows
icon.

Moreover the problem doesn't occur if i create a new user
account and try the same steps. I cannot delete the
existing account because i have most of the settings done
on this account including the outlook 2002 setting where
all the folder are included in the account.

Pls. advice what has gone wrong after installation of the
Office XP. Is there any patch or fix available to rectify
the problem.

Run the edit on line 240:

Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar (Line 240)

Note: Do not reboot or logoff. Once the edit is merged, right click the
Notification Area/Task Manager/Processes. Highlight Explorer.exe, End
Process.

Leave the Task Manager open. Once the process has ended, choose File/New
Task and type in: Explorer.exe.
