My problem is that my system goes into hibernation/standby (not sure) by
itself. I have not knowingly altered the settings. The symptoms are as
follows: When I turn on the computer it had started up ok, loading all files
as usual, then after a while it would just cut out. The on light (blue)
would change to yellow. The same thing still happens, but now it happens as
windows is starting up. The system goes straight to CHKDSK where the system
checks the files. It completes the checking of the files but does not have
time to check the indexes before the the system cuts out again.
Does anyone have experience of this, and if so, how to resolve the problem ?
I am not overly familiar with computers, and may not have the terminology
correct.
Thanks
