Problem with start.exe file for Blackberry Curve

My Dell Dimension 4550 PC doesn't want to read the CD that comes with the
cell phone. It keeps giving me an error message that the "start.exe" file
has a problem. I borrowed a friend's new Inspiron lap top and it had no
problem opening the CD.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem.
