When I view my slide show and when my laptop fan kicks in, this makes the next slide appear automatically sometimes it goes on for two more slides. I use the enter key so I do not touch my touchpad. It is strictly related to the fan starting up. This is very frustrating since I cannot predict when this will occur next and I have to backspace to come back
I have a dell Inspiron 8100
Actually the same happens when my screensaver is on, then everytime my fan goes on it will kick my screen safer out. PLease help me, thank you. my email is (e-mail address removed)

I think that I would contact Dell and report the problem and request a fix.
It sounds like a hardware problem to me.

Patrice,

this sounds like a super sensitive touchpad.....the fan starting up is probably enough movement for it recognize it as a
"press" on the touchpad.

Try disabling the touchpad to see if it goes away.
