My Dell is connected to a Sharp Aquos LCD with a DVI cable. When the
computer goes into standby or when the LCD is turned off, the connection
between the two terminates. So when the computer wakes, the display is blank
or when the LCD is turned back on, the display is blank (computer has always
been on). The only way to correct the issue is to restart the pc or
physically disconnect and reconnect the DVI cable from one or the other.
I've been running both 24X7 since I encountered the issue, but I'd like to
know if there is a better way to correct the problem. Ideally, I'd like to
be able to at least power off the LCD to conserve some energy and be able to
power it back on and have the display just appear...without restarting or
dis/reconnecting. Any help would be great!
